The Hour Before Habit is the quiet time in the morning before the day settles into habit—a moment of possibility, attention, and openness. It is the brief space between waking and routine, when we notice the things we have chosen to surround ourselves with.

This exhibition intentionally brings together small-scale works and invites reflection on the relationship we build with art through everyday life: through living alongside a work, returning to it, and allowing it to become part of our daily surroundings.

The works in this selection are intentionally small in scale. They enter everyday life naturally and without ceremony, ask little of the space around them, and become part of it with ease. Their size invites proximity rather than distance and encourages closeness, making it easier to imagine not only looking at them, but living with them. Rather than becoming the center of a room, they become part of it.

Today, you are invited to celebrate a personal and intuitive way of living with art. There is no right way to begin. Often, it starts with a simple connection to a work. We imagine it in our home, becoming part of our everyday surroundings. A single work can be enough.

Explore the exhibition slowly, attentively, and with curiosity. If you find yourself returning to a particular work, or if it creates a moment of connection within you, trust yourself.

One day, it may become part of your own quiet hour before habit.
